Cheng Daobin has a considerable amount of experience in the testing of building fire coatings and flame-retardant and fire-resistant cables, as well as in the standard development, R&D of the testing equipment, and basic fire research. He has conducted research on over 10 subjects, including the subjects supported by the National Sci-Tech Support Plans during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and by the National Key Research and Development Program during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan, as well as the key research subjects of both the MPS and the Fire Department of MPS. In addition, he has won 3 third prizes of the MPS Science and Technology Award, 1 second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Fire Department of MPS, 1 third prize of the Technology Innovation Award of Fire and Rescue Department of MEM, and 1 first prize of the Science and Technology Innovation Award from CFPA.
